My Blog List

I edited this image by changing the hue to a more red one. I also added a text box with letters in it spelling "thanksgiving" in typewriter font, then tilting it at the corner of the image. I also used the focus tool to focus on the center of the image so everything around the center point is slightly blurry.

I edited this image by changing the empty background to splash watercolor. I also slightly cropped the edges of the images. I also put in thanksgiving stickers like the turkey and the pie. I also added more letters and fonts, spelling "thanksgiving" and "gobble gobble".

I edited this image by changing the texture to scratched. I changed the hue to a slightly darker red, making the pumpkins appear a darker orange on the edges. I also added stickers like the acorn, the leaves, and the crow.

I edited this image by changing the focus to the turkey's head, making everything else appear a bit more blurry. I also added a pumpkin sticker, and changed the frame settings to rough edge.

intro to html

Today, to get my lesson done, I used notepad to write my code and W3 tutorials to test it. I also used the word document to read the instructions and see the meanings of the labels. I want to know a lot about web design. I want to know how to use it to command robots, all of  the different types of coding languages, and how to create websites.

I took the W3Schools HTML quiz and I got 44%........ I need to learn a lot more.

X ray goggles

I just tried the x ray goggles and they are actually pretty cool. You can see all of the coding on a website and you can change it too! It was really fun messing with websites. I have learned how much coding is put into websites and how each tiny button can have paragraphs of coding.

Today me and my partner played 20 questions with a computer. The results were that they used over 20 questions to guess most of them. Some of the more modern ones we did weren't even in the computer's database. The only one they guessed under 20 is Mulan, probably because the Mulan movies are pretty old. They didn't guess Elsa probably because she is only a year old. It took them a while to guess Tom Brady. I think that it's pretty cool that the computer guessed some of them but im also not impressed that it missed so much. This proves that computers are not human.

I have observed other people's blogs and I saw a lot of pretty bead looms and basket patterns. It is obvious that people put a lot of effort into them and they are all unique. I saw that many people struggled with this the same ways I did.

                                                            Navajo Rug Weaver

This rug weaving software was one of the hardest ones to do. I progressed in not doing every bit individually and actually using the shapes like rectangles, lines, and triangles. I have improved a lot in speed and use of different techniques. This surprisingly became easier after the first couple of posts. I might need to improve on the accuracy of plotting, though.

                                             African American Cornrow Curves

I used the pacific northwest basket weaver to make this dog basket design. To make this design, I used several lines to make the body of the dog and the background, then I used individual points to make the tail and legs. I was challenged to get the shape of the dog right just by looking at the picture given, which doesn't clearly show how many points need to be made. I had no trouble plotting my coordinates to create the design. The layout for the plotting of coordinates made it simple.

Hi. My name is Jahnavi Patel.  I am 13 years old and live with my parents, grandparents, and sister. I am in 9th grade and I live in Reading.  I have learned at 7 different schools so far in my life. I have also lived in 4 different towns. I am taking this computer science class because I have always found computer science interesting and want to learn more about it. I am looking forward to getting a better understanding of computers and learning as much as I can.
